Welcome to the STAR Lab’s celebrations page! This is a place to notice what is easily missed.

In academia, it is tempting to measure only the big outcomes. The publication. The grant. The acceptance. But most of life is not lived there. It is lived in the middle of an ordinary week when someone finally gets a model to converge, or sends the first draft they were afraid to send, or asks a question out loud even if it feels like a moment of vulnerability.

Here we honor those moments. A simple practice in awareness. A reminder that growth and meaning accumulate and that showing up matters. Life is short. We are allowed to celebrate along the way, not only when we reach the finish line.

• Kendall Pade became a Barr Fellow in Public Speaking to prepare for her undergraduate honors thesis presentation at the William & Mary Spring Honors Research Symposium

• Shira Godin's abstract for her first-year project was accepted for presentation at the William & Mary Graduate Research Symposium

• Shira Godin and Kendall Pade joined the STAR Lab as founding members

• Shaina joined the Department of Psychological Sciences at William & Mary and created the STAR Lab
